Feeding Hungry Children


Jesus invited them to breakfast and after they were full, he asked – “Do you love me?” 

“Yes, Lord you know that I love you.”

The Student Breakfast began in 2004 – once a month, on the sidewalk

School Busses stopped; Demand grew; Joy grew

Once a month became once a week, then a few days a week

Since the winter 2009 Breakfast has been served Every School Day

2010-2011 School year:  1769 served

Sept-December 2011:  1633 served

Breakfast becomes hospitality to young people

Claremont Youth Center, 4 H Jaguars, Robotics, West Central Teen Programs

The Cinderella Project; Semi Annual Clothing Exchange

AA for young Adults (Thursday nights)

And now … Breakfast Backpacks in partnership with

Claremont Middle School (4 each week) and Disnard School (starting with 10)

The Blessings:  Outrageous generosity of Community Leaders so that we can buy as many eggs, bagels and gallons of milk as kids will need

The Challenges:  Enough Early risers with big hearts to cook the breakfast; Indirect costs including heat and building maintenance

The Dreams:  An updated Kitchen for Community Suppers with more food storage space;   Summer meals for kids;   No cost After School options
